Trust Our Award-Winning Quality To Save Your Precious Memories. Get Started Today!
When it was introduced by Sony in 1985, Hi8 film was considered a remarkable innovation. Housed in a smaller casing than VHS and available in 30, 60, and 120 length tapes, Hi8 offered such superb quality that it was often the top choice of news outlets and ad agencies. Hi8 featured brighter colors, whiter whites, and even better – sensitive colors weren’t subject to fading. At .5 inch thick, 2.5 inches wide, and just under 4 inches tall, this playing card size was nearly irresistible! Of course, it was so compact, some people complained that the tapes were too easy to misplace.
If these accolades sound irrelevant in this day and age of high-tech gadgets, you’re right. The tapes and cameras are no longer made, and furthermore, the magnetic tape is subject to rapid deterioration. So don’t waste precious moments while your tapes suffer the vagaries of the ever ticking clock – get those stacks of old Hi8 tapes out of your closet and dust off the 30-year-old cobwebs. Think about it this way – when you convert Hi8 to digital, you’re showing respect for a now obsolete format and preserving memories that never get old.

With the digital download option, customers are able to review the footage prior to receiving their originals back. They are still unable to delete any footage.
In order to get the best possible quality while editing, we suggest selecting the Uncompressed H.264/MPEG-4 Files option. This provides you with a much higher bit rate than the compressed file.

However, we recommend that if you would like duplicate copies, that you make those requests that the time that you place your order.
